These lightbulbs are quite amazing - the light they emit is quite different than that of normal lightbulbs, whether energy saving or not. As it says in the item description, they are indeed 'daylight bulbs' - I live in a garden flat and the internal hallway has only a small amount of natural light, so Biobulbs have made a huge difference as it now looks as if it is flooded with natural light. I think they could be beneficial for SADS sufferers too. They are enrgy saving so do not need to be replaced often, they are well worth the money and I have recommended them to my eldest daughter without hesitation. They also look better aesthetically than some energy saving bulbs as they are shorter and don't poke out of the lightshade so much. I have Victorian lightshades and they look fine with these.

These bulbs are fantastic. They give light as close to natural daylight that I have come across to date. In addition their long life span means that you are not forever having to change them and to offset their high initial cost they save you a lot on your electricity bill. The ones I have just bought were to replace some that I bought some five or six years ago. Can not recommend them enough. Once you have used these you will find it hard to go back to ordinary bulbs.

People who visit either love or hate this bulb. I tend to use it with wall lights. Perhaps another November and I can pass better judgement?

This bulb is great for a home office space. The bright white light is energising and refreshing. Sometimes I put the light on during the daytime and it complements the natural daylight perfectly, making the room seem like there's an extra window. If I leave the bulb on, I can't notice the sunset as it's so closely matched to daylight. I wouldn't put one of these bulbs in a bedroom, unless you wanted it to get you out of bed. It's the type of light that wakes you up, so not best used in rooms where you want to relax. Overall, it's a big thumbs up from me, I'm a total convert.
