The Chillow is a unique personal cooling pad, only two centimetres thick. It does not use power and is allergy free. Chillow is invaluable for people who suffer from; hot flushes, fevers, night sweats, headaches, eczema, sunburn, muscle/joint pain, sporting injuries and many other conditions. Bought for my nana who gets hot at night, was planning to buy for myself as I like the cool side of the pillow, but having tried hers wont. Just not cool and comfortable enough for me.

I've used my chillow nearly every night now for the last 8-9 months. Where it used to take me hours to fall asleep on a frequent amount of occasions, I've been asleep within around 10 minutes every night using the chillow. Yes, it does get warm after a few hours but it should always stay cooler than the temperature of your head so it will still be more of a help than not!
While it has been fantastic in respect of sleeping better, I seem to remember the texture of the sleeve to be more 'rubbery' when first purchased. It is now brittle and plastic feeling which means that it has lost it's resistance to creasing and they no longer 'fall out' after use. It will ultimately split and I have just recently repaired a small hole on one of the creases.
However, at less than 10 pence per night's use, I will be buying another for the huge benefit it has brought.

I have to say, after buying this last year it is one of the best things I've ever used. Still going strong after 12 months and never lets me down. To address some of the massive slatings some people have given it I must say that: -
1) Yes this will warm up eventually, the idea is it slowly warms through the night, it'd be impossible to get something you would place your head on that wouldn't do this eventually, but I find it stays cool enough for me, some people are just warmer, in which case they will probably never find anything that will help.
2) Soothsoft offer a money back guarantee within 30 days if your not happy, how can you lose out with that kind of offer! Doesn't work? Just send it back and get your money back again no problem.
3) Customer service for me has been great, I had a problem with mine (of my own doing) and they were fast efficient and polite in sorting it out, best service I have had in quite some time.
4) Some people complain about the feel. Yes it is different, because its not a pillow. If you put it inside the pillow case its still cool but it wont stick to your skin and it can be used elsewhere on your body too.
Overall I would recommend that anyone finding sleep difficult due to warm pillows tries one of these, worst case scenario is you just have to send it back and get your money back, you cant lose!
I'm buying a new one just to take on holiday with me!

I have had a chillow for 13 months now and unfortunately it has deteriorated badly in the last couple of weeks resulting in a puncture (more on this later).
However as i have found the chillow to be excellent in ensuring i get a good nights sleep i have ordered a replacement.
As others have pointed out the chillow will heat up during the course of a night. Generally this is not too much of a problem for me as i just rotate my pillow thus getting a cool part of the chillow.
Where my 1st chillow failed was that on the central part of the chillow (covering approx 70%) the plastic skin became extremely brittle and lost its softness. this meant that any bunching up of the pillow resulted in creases (normally not a problem) which were no longer soft enough to avoid ending in a puncture. With a chillow a puncture means gameover.
The effectiveness of the chillow upto this point has been brilliant so i have had no hesitation in ordering another

I loved my chillow (notice the past tense right there).
It keeps you colder than you would otherwise be; although there are a couple of small problems;
1 - Smells strange (not that i minded, infact i liked it but you mightn't)
2 - does eventually get warm
3 - the instructions say to not let your cat anywhere near it..
Here's my story; after a long nice cool night i woke up early morning and my chillow was pretty much warm (this was after a whole night though) so i took it out from under me and put it on the other side of the bed to let it cool a bit... when i woke up my lovely cat was sitting on it purring away unfortunately he also managed to puncture it while he was at it.
However; all is not lost i used a bike puncture repair kit; and with a bit of care its lovely again!
